Over the winter months, you’ll no doubt need to wrap up warm. However, there are plenty of ways in which you can do this, without having to compromise on style. Knitwear is great for creating a stylish winter look. Choose chunky knits for a casual style which which will keep you warm, as well as ensuring that you’re right on trend. Oversized styles are still popular, but for a more streamlines look, go for fine knits in soft fabrics, such as cashmere. Wear with jeans or leggings in order to stay warm, whilst looking great. Choose your accessories wisely during the cooler months, in order to ensure that they really stand out. Chunky, vintage necklaces might have looked great against a delicate summer dress, for example, but they’re prone to appearing clumsy when teamed with warmer winter layers. If you love wearing jewellery, then stick to elegant pieces, such as you might find at jewellers like 77 Diamonds. Alternatively, the winter offers the perfect opportunity to accessorize with hats, gloves and scarves. Mittens are still a popular choice this season, as are knitted bobble hats, and tri-blend scarves. Boots are another winter essential, offering footwear which is both weather-proof and right on trend. Lace-up ankle boots with a wedge heel are perfect if you want to look great during the wet weather, or opt for knee-high suede options to create a 1970s-inspired style, which is perfect for day-to-day wear. If you’re wearing heels, then ditch the peep toe, and go for a classic court shoe instead. Lastly, it can be a great idea to invest in a warm winter coat to keep you warm over the coming season. Hooded duffel coats are the perfect addition to any casual wardrobe, whilst those looking something more formal should opt for three-quarter length wool coats with a collar.
