For hundreds of years Italy has been the leading country of the fashion world and has dictated taste in harmony, color and style. Fashion history kept the name “The Fashion Hub of the Whole World” especially for this country, which has given birth to the most famous fashion designers of the world.

Here’s my top 5 list of the greatest Italian fashion designers ever:

1. Valentino Garavani — Valentino’s extravagance is incomparable and inimitable in his evening and wedding dresses in which drama and romance (two categories that create a real feminine character) play in harmonic unity. He puts all of his passion in creating unique designs without focusing on details. His imagination of making a bias cut is perfect. That’s why you shouldn’t be surprised watching his “handwriting” in the elegant presence of megastars on red-carpet shows.
